Pulp capping: Used for both direct (over exposed pulp) and indirect (in deep cavities close to the pulp) applications to protect the dental pulp and encourage healing.

Protective liner (Base Liner): Applied as a protective layer beneath restorative materials like composite, amalgam, or acrylics.

Stimulates dentin formation: The calcium hydroxide base stimulates the pulp tissue to form a reparative dentin bridge, creating a protective barrier.
